Nate Gold is a critically acclaimed Director of Photography and Producer. Born in Los Angeles, at age 3 his family settled overseas in Prague, a city newly experiencing cultural rebirth after decades of oppression. Surrounded by this renaissance, Nate developed a unique eye and affinity for internationally diverse stories and perspectives.
After returning to California to attend the USC School of Cinematic Arts to study production, Nate started working in the industry before graduating and has since developed a roster of high profile clients including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Warner Bros, Vogue, Jimmy Choo, AT&T, Toyota, Colgate, Christina Aguilera, Republic Records, and Time Inc.
Nate’s films have been well-received by audiences at over 50 film festivals internationally. He attended Sundance Film Festival two consecutive years with short films he both co-created and DPed. One received funding from Oscilloscope to spawn the feature length film, “VHYES”, shot entirely on VHS and Betamax including comedic performances from Tim Robbins, Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney, and Susan Sarandon. It premiered at Fantastic Fest followed by a national theatrical release.
Nate also notably produced and DPed the film, “SCORE: A Film Music Documentary” (www.score-movie.com), which was the #1 doc for several months on iTunes, as well as being named one of their TOP TEN Documentaries of 2017. Released theatrically around the globe, "SCORE" has won numerous awards and continues to be a top ranking music documentary.
